Why your honey looks different
If your honey has started to look grainy or turned a bit solid, there’s nothing to worry about. This is a natural process called crystallisation and it’s a sign your honey is as it should be, not that anything’s gone wrong.
Can I still use it?
Yes, absolutely. Crystallised honey is just as safe and just as good for your body. It still delivers the same natural goodness, whether you’re adding it to your morning routine or using it to sweeten your day.
There’s no need to return it.
How to bring your honey back to liquid
If you prefer your honey runnier, you can gently warm it:
- Step 1
Place the jar into a bowl or pan of warm water (glass or plastic only, avoid metal containers) - Step 2
Warm the water on a low heat. Aim for warm, not hot, around 35°C - Step 3
Leave the jar in for 20 to 30 minutes, giving it a gentle stir now and then to help it along - Step 4
Keep the temperature below 43°C, as overheating can affect the flavour and the natural benefits your body enjoys
