Beauty Advent Calendar 2025

The Holland and Barrett Beauty Advent Calendar for 2025 is now available to purchase through the Holland and Barrett website and app, with a limited quantity.

Why does the Advent calendar not have doors?

This year, we've taken a different approach to the packaging of the advent calendars. There are no doors this year, but a box of individually wrapped items with date stickers on them. We've listened to our customers who've said that previous calendars included excess packaging and were difficult to recycle.

Is the calendar vegan?

In past years, the calendar was very much branded as a 'vegan beauty' calendar. This year, we've included Weleda Skin Food, which is vegetarian, but not vegan (it contains Beeswax). This is a customer favourite that we've added based on customer demand and feedback. More information on each product can be found on our website under the sustainability claims.

Are the products cruelty-free?

Yes. At Holland & Barrett, we are firmly dedicated to offering customers natural, responsible health and wellness choices. Therefore, we do not permit the sale of any cosmetic or personal care product that has been tested on animals, in line with both UK and EU regulations and our animal welfare policy.

This means that for our own-brand ranges we ensure they are developed without animal testing at any stage of production. And we only partner with brands that do not do animal testing and utilise industry-recognized, validated non-animal testing methodologies in case where governments and law require it. These brands invest significantly on alternatives of animal testing such as partnering with IIVS (Institute for In Vitro Sciences), a non-profit research and testing laboratory, to help drive alternatives to animal testing for cosmetic products globally.
