What is Clearpay?
Clearpay is a payment service that lets you spread the cost of your order into 4 interest-free instalments, paid automatically every 2 weeks. It’s designed to make it a little easier to keep your wellness routine and body-supporting essentials on track, while managing your budget in a way that works for you.
Late fees may apply if payments are missed.
The service is provided by Clearpay Finance Ltd.
How do I use Clearpay?
Using Clearpay is simple:
- Shop on the Holland & Barrett website as normal
- Head to checkout
- Select Clearpay as your payment method
- You’ll then be redirected to the Clearpay website to:
- Register or log in
- Enter your payment details (Visa, Mastercard or Amex)
- Once approved, complete your order as usual
If you already have a Clearpay account, simply log in and continue to checkout.
Who can use Clearpay?
Clearpay is available to:
- Permanent UK residents aged 18+
- Customers with a UK billing address
Unfortunately, Clearpay is not available for customers with international billing addresses or those based in the Channel Islands.

How do Clearpay payments work?
Clearpay splits your order total into 4 equal instalments, taken every fortnight.
Before you confirm your purchase, you’ll see:
- The exact payment amounts
- The dates payments will be taken
You can also make early payments at any time by logging into your Clearpay account.
To manage your payments or view your schedule, simply log into your Clearpay account whenever you need to.
What happens if I miss a payment?
If you think you may miss a payment, please contact Clearpay directly here as soon as possible.
If a payment is missed:
- You won’t be able to make further purchases with Clearpay until the overdue amount is paid
- You’ll have until 11pm the following day to make the payment before late fees apply
Late fees
- Initial late fee: £6
- Additional fee after 7 days: £6
For orders:
- Under £24, total late fees are capped at £6
- £24 or over, late fees won’t exceed 25% of the order total or £36, whichever is lower
Unpaid debt may also be passed to a debt collection agency, which could affect your ability to use Clearpay in future.
We’d always encourage using Clearpay in a way that feels manageable and supportive for your finances and overall wellbeing.
When will my order arrive if I pay with Clearpay?
Orders placed using Clearpay follow our normal delivery timeframes, so your wellness essentials should arrive just as they would with any other payment method.

Is there a spending limit with Clearpay?
Yes. To use Clearpay, your total basket value including delivery must be between:
- £20 and £1000
Your available spending limit may vary depending on factors such as:
- Whether you’re new to Clearpay
- Your payment history with them
Can I use discount codes with Clearpay?
Yes, promotional and discount codes can still be used alongside Clearpay where applicable.
Returning an order paid with Clearpay
Orders purchased using Clearpay follow our usual returns process.
A few important things to know:
- Refunds are sent from Holland & Barrett back to Clearpay
- Clearpay then adjusts your payment plan accordingly
- Any future instalments may be cancelled
- Any payments already made may be refunded back to your original payment card
Until the return has been received and processed, you’ll still need to continue making any scheduled Clearpay payments.
