From 2nd April 2023, you will no longer receive a physical Rewards for Life card when you join the programme in store (this has already been the process for several years if you join on our website).
When joining Rewards for Life (RFL) in store, you will be given a leaflet which has your unique Rewards for Life account number on, and a QR code on the reverse.
Simply scan the QR code with your phone to download the H&B app, sign up using the same email address on your Rewards for Life account and you’ll receive instant access to your account, including your digital Rewards for Life card.
Going forwards, when you shop in store just open the app on the ‘me’ tab and you will see your digital Rewards for Life card, which our store associates can scan.
You can also shop on the app, where your account will already be linked to your basket, or on our website.
Note: If you are an existing Rewards for Life customer with a physical card, there is no change to using your card when you shop with us.
- What if I want a physical card?
Physical cards are no longer available; however, you can download the H&B app where you’ll be able to access your digital card and account information all in one place.
You can also sign up on our website where your card will automatically be applied at online checkout.
If you shop instore and don’t want to download the app, our store associates will happily find your account details on our system and will be to link your Rewards for Life details to the transaction, so that you can collect your points as normal.
- I’ve lost my card and would like a replacement; can I get one?
Unfortunately, we are no longer issuing physical cards.
If you already have our app, you’ll find your digital card under the ‘Me’ tab, which you can scan in store the same as you would with a physical card.
If you don’t yet have our app, you can download from your app store or using the QR code on your welcome email.
If you already have an online account, just sign into this on the app and your RFL account will be linked.
If you don’t have an online account, you can create this in the app and providing you use the same email address you used to sign up for Rewards for Life, your accounts will automatically link.
- Can I request a new card or sign up to Rewards for Life via customer services?
You can join the programme by phoning our customer engagement centre, they will be able to set up your account, but will not be issuing a physical card.
You will receive an email with your account details and a QR code to download the H&B app. When placing an order via our customer engagement team, you’ll need to quote your unique 13 digit card number and your Rewards for Life account will link with the transaction.
Our customer engagement centre will not be issuing any replacement physical cards. Instead, we recommend downloading the H&B app, using our Rewards for Life look up service in store, or creating an online account that will be linked to your Rewards for Life account.
- I was issued a leaflet in-store with my card number on; do I need to keep this?
You can keep the leaflet; however, it is not necessary. Once you have downloaded the H&B app you can dispose of the leaflet.
All of your Rewards for Life account details, including your digital card, points balance and any available money-off vouchers can be found in the ‘me’ tab of the H&B app.
- Why have you stopped issuing physical cards?
We have millions of Rewards for Life members, which in return means there is a lot of plastic in circulation for our cards.
Whilst re changed our cards to eco PVC a few years back, we still think we can do better, and we also offer our customers lots of alternative ways to access their Rewards for Life account. These include using the H&B app to access your digital card and account, using our Rewards for Life look up service in store and creating an online account. It’s also one less thing to carry with you!
