If you're ordering eligible drinks to an address in Ireland, you'll see a small refundable deposit added to the product price as part of Ireland's Deposit Return Scheme (Re-turn).
How much is the deposit?
- €0.15 for containers between 150ml and 500ml
- €0.25 for containers over 500ml up to 3 litres
How do I claim my deposit back?
Simply return your empty, undamaged bottle or can to a participating retailer or Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) in Ireland. You'll receive your deposit back as a voucher or cash refund, depending on the return location.
Which products are included?
The scheme applies to most soft drinks, water, juice, sports drinks, energy drinks, ready-to-drink coffees and some alcoholic drinks sold in plastic bottles or cans displaying the Re-turn logo.
Glass bottles, milk containers and products without the Re-turn logo aren't included.
Why am I being charged?
The deposit is required under Irish legislation and isn't part of the product price. It's fully refundable when you return the eligible container through the Re-turn scheme.
