When you shop using Google Pay or Apple Pay, your phone or device doesn’t send your actual card number to the retailer. Instead, it uses a virtual card number, a secure, device-specific number created just for that transaction method. This helps protect your real card details and adds an extra layer of security.
So if you’ve placed an order and need to check which card you used, or you're waiting for a refund, you’ll want to find your virtual card number. Here’s how:
Why the virtual card number matters
If you used Google Pay or Apple Pay to place your order, and you're:
Waiting for a refund
Contacting your bank about a payment
Tracking a purchase on your bank statement
You’ll likely need to match the last four digits of the virtual card number, not your physical card. This can cause confusion if you're expecting to see your usual card number, so don’t worry, here’s where to look.
How to find your virtual card number
On Apple Pay (iPhone)
Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
Tap the card you used for the purchase.
Tap the three dots (•••) in the top-right corner.
Select Card Details
Select Card Information
The last four digits listed here as Apple Pay.
On Google Pay (Android)
Open the Google Wallet app.
Tap the card you used to make the purchase.
Tap the three dots (•••) in the top-right corner.
Look for Virtual Account Number or similar wording.
Again, it’s the last four digits you’ll need.
Not all banks show the virtual card number directly. If you can’t see it, your bank’s customer service team may be able to confirm it for you.
Still unsure which card was used?
If you're contacting us about an order and used Google Pay or Apple Pay, please share:
The date of your order
The amount charged
The last 4 digits of your virtual card number (not the physical one)
This helps us locate your order more quickly.
