Why we're asking for a one-time passcode
If you've used a social account to sign up and there is no email associated with it, we ask for your email address so we can send you important updates like order confirmations, delivery notifications, and account activity. Because this email is used for things like receipts and order tracking, we need to confirm it actually belongs to you, that's what the one-time passcode (OTP) is for.
Why the code might not be working
The most common reason a passcode doesn't work is that it's expired. Codes expire 5 minutes after they're sent, so if some time has passed, the one in your inbox may no longer be valid.
Other reasons a code might not work:
- A newer code was requested, which automatically replaces any earlier one
- The code was mistyped
- The email it was sent to isn't the one you're trying to verify
What to do
- Check your inbox for the most recent email containing a passcode, use that one, not an older message.
- If you can't find it, check your spam or junk folder.
- Double check you entered the correct email address, a small typo will mean the code goes to the wrong inbox.
- Request a new code, you can do this every 30 seconds from the same screen.
- Enter the digits exactly as shown, with no spaces.
Still having trouble?
If you've tried the steps above and the code still isn't working, try closing and reopening the app/tab, then start the sign-up process again, alternatively you can Continue with Email and use an email that you own to sign up and get started.
