What is an e-receipt?
An e-receipt is a digital version of your in-store receipt, sent straight to your inbox instead of being printed.
It’s available to H&B&Me members with an email linked to their account, making it easier to keep track of what you've purchased, without worrying about losing paper receipts.
How do I get an e-receipt?
When you shop in store using your H&B&Me account, our colleague will ask how you’d like your receipt.
You can choose:
- Email (e-receipt)
- Paper
- Both
- Or no receipt
There’s no need to type in your email, it’s already linked to your account.
When will my e-receipt arrive?
Your e-receipt is sent as soon as your purchase is complete.
As long as you’ve got access to Wi-Fi or mobile data, it should be ready and waiting in your inbox straight away.
Can I opt out of e-receipts?
E-receipts are chosen at the till, not automatically sent.
So you’re always in control, just let the colleague know your preference each time you shop.
What if my email address is incorrect?
Your e-receipt is sent to the email linked to your H&B&Me account.
If you need to update it, you’ll need to:
- Change your email in your online account (as long as your H&B&Me account is linked)
- Or get in touch so we can help
What information is included on an e-receipt?
Your e-receipt will include:
- Your first name (as on your account)
- The products you’ve purchased, returned or exchanged
- The last 4 digits of your card (if you paid by card)
It’s everything you need to keep your purchases clear and easy to track.
Can I turn a paper receipt into an e-receipt?
Not after the purchase has been completed.
Once the transaction is closed, we’re unable to resend it digitally, so it’s best to choose both options at the till if you’d like a backup.
Can I use an e-receipt for a refund?
Yes, you can.
Your e-receipt includes a barcode at the bottom, which our store team can scan to process your return, making it simple to get things sorted if something doesn’t feel right for your body.
Can I use an e-receipt for VAT purposes?
Yes, e-receipts include:
- VAT registration details
- A full breakdown of values
So they can be used just like a paper receipt.
Can I request an email gift receipt?
Not right now, gift receipts aren’t available via email yet.
Can I use an e-receipt for warranty purposes?
Yes.
Your e-receipt acts as proof of purchase, with a date and time stamp to support any warranty or return queries.
