Changed your mind? Here’s how to exchange an item
We hope you’re happy with your purchase, but if you’ve had a change of heart, we understand. We currently only offer exchanges in-store, so you’d need to pop into one of our shops to swap the item.
If getting to a store isn’t convenient, you can still return the item by post for a refund and then place a new order for the item you’d like instead.
You can set up a free return here: H&B Returns.
Before you go to store, just check:
- You’ll need to bring your receipt, or another proof of purchase (bank statement)
- If you ordered online, your dispatch confirmation email (either printed or on your phone) works just fine.
Our store team will be happy to help you with the exchange.
Frequently asked questions
Can I exchange an opened or used item?
We can only accept items that are unused, unopened, and in resaleable condition, with any seals still intact.
What’s your returns policy?
You can return any unused item within 30 days of your original purchase date for an exchange or refund, so long as it is unopened, unused, in a saleable condition and the seals remain intact. You must have the original receipt or an alternative proof of purchase. Exclusions: unless faulty, medicines, food and cosmetic products which have been opened cannot be refunded or exchanged.
How long do I have to make an exchange?
You can exchange your item up to 30 days from the date you bought it.
What happens during the exchange process?
- We’ll scan the item(s) you’re returning and check the original price paid.
- The new item(s) will be scanned and we’ll deduct the value of your return from the total of the new items.
Will I need to pay anything?
- If the new items cost more, you’ll just need to pay the difference.
- If they cost less, we’ll give you the difference back as a refund (if proof of purchase is shown), or a credit note.
